today at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, where a rosary will be Anton Bachmeier farmed and worked for St. Alexius. said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by a parish vigil at 8. Mr.

Bachmeier was born Nov. 16, 1914, in Grassner Township in Emmons County, where he was raised and attended school. He married Anna Mary Baumgartner in the Grassner Church June 24, 1940. He served in the U.S. Army from Sept.

14, 1942, to Jan. 6, 1943. He farmed in the Strasburg area and moved to Bismarck in 1950. He worked for St. Alexius Hospital in the maintenance department until 1977.

He worked part-time for Bank Center One the last 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Anna Mary; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and James "Skip" Balzer, Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Mary, West-mount, four sisters, Gertrude Paul, Bismarck, Rose Brown, Staples, Cecilia Logan, Minot, and Alvina Nagel, Linton; one brother, Edwin, Santa Barbara, five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son and one brother. Neva Johnsen Neva Johnsen, 76, 115 E. Ka-vaney Drive, died March 16, 1993, in the Mandan hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Mark Bayert officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Neva Johnsen worked with Johnsen Trailer" Sales.

Visitation will be 7-9 tonight, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Neva Vettel was born Aug. 9, 1916, in Bismarck, the daughter of Charles and Leo Pearl (Neighbor) Vettel. She was raised in Bismarck, and graduated from Bismarck High School.

She worked for Farmers Home Administration in Bismarck in 1934 and was transferred to the regional office in Lincoln, in 1935. On July 14, 1940, she married Richard "Dick" Johnsen, at Bismarck. They continued to live in Nebraska until they moved to Bismarck in 1945. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Elks from 1958 to 1965, and for the family business, Johnsen Trailer Sales from 1972 to 1978. Richard died Jan.

2, 1986. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Connie, and Roger and Dorothy, all of Bismarck; two daughters and one son-in-law, Leo Katheryn Ludwick, and Barbara and Jerry Klein, all of Bismarck; three grandsons; seven granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Loren, Bismarck, and Charles, Rochester, Minn. Gary Rudolph Anderson, 55, 113 Haycreek Court, Bismarck, died March 15, 1993, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev.

Gary r-il luci OUI I owned his own company. Thomas R. Marcis Jr. officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at Gerhardt-Schreiner-Ladbury Funeral Home, Bismarck, and will continue at the church one hour before services. Mr. Anderson was born Nov. 30, 1937, at Britton, S.D., the son of Rudolph and Elsie (Illig) Anderson.

He was raised and educated in Forman. He entered the U.S. Air Force Oct. 14, 1959, and was honorably discharged on Aug. 13, 1964.

He married Nidra Halstead in 1962 in Colorado. In 1968, Gary graduated from the North Dakota State University with a degree in electrical engineering. The family moved to Bismarck in 1977 where he later owned and operated Anderson Investigation and Testing. In 1990, he began Missouri Valley Calibration. He was very active in junior scratch YABA bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Nidra; one daughter, Charlene, Columbus, Ohio; and one son, Mark, Bismarck. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials. J. Grosche MINOT Jacquelyn J. Grosche, 66, Minot, died March 14, 1993, in a Minot hospital.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot, with burial in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot. Jacquelyn Chilson was born Nov. 21, 1926, at Zap. She and her husband lived in Minot.

She is survived by her husband, Carl; one daughter, Susan Dokken, Minot; and two sons, Scott, Minot, and Mark, Agoura, Calif. (Thomas Funeral Home, Minot) Jake Martin LEMMON, S.D. Jake Martin, 78, Lemmon, died March 14, 1993, in the Lemmon nursing home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MST Thursday at Spencer Memorial Presbyterian Church, Lemmon, with burial in Greenhill Cemetery, Lemmon.

Mr. Martin was born March 4, 1915, at Drew. He worked for Anderson Plumbing and Gas, Phillips 66, Lemmon Gas Co. and Lemmon Equity before retiring in 1977. He is survived by two sons, Dar-rell, Renton, and Tom, Globe, one daughter, Mollie Jenson, Colorado Springs, and one sister, Caroline Lennick, Billings, Mont.

(Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Lemmon) Freddie Maier Freddie John Maier, 66. Lodi, died March 12, 1993, in a Lodi nursing home. Services were held Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lodi, with burial in Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi. Mr.

Maier was born March 16, 1926, at Zeeland. He enjoyed being a drummer in many big band orchestras and making his favorite German sausage recipe. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; and one son, Mark. (Lodi Funeral Home, Lodi) A -rj? MOTT Virginia L. Mehrer, 78, Bismarck, formerly of Mott, died March 15, 1993, in the Enterprise, Ala.

She and her husband lived in Mott, Fargo and Lindstrom, Minn, before moving to Bismarck in 1981. She is survived by one brother, William Schwartz, Enterprise. Osterland GARRISON Charles Osterland, 84, Garrison, died March 16, 1993, in the Garrison nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Garrison Nursing Center, with burial in Garrison Cemetery. Mr. Osterland was born Jan.

24, 1909, at Laramie, Wyo. He worked as a mechanic in California and had traveled in carnivals before moving to Bismarck in 1958. He is survived by one son, Charles, Huntington Beach, Calif. (Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison) Kim Lukenbach SYKESTON Kim Allan Lukenbach, 37, Sykeston, died March 16, 1993, in the Carrington hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Saturday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Sykeston, with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Lukenbach was born March 22, 1955, at Harvey. He had been operating a dairy farm at Sykeston for the past 6 years.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle; two daughters, Cathy Jo and Missy, both at home; his parents, Harry Jr. and Pearl Lukenbach, Sykeston; one brother, Dean, Newton, Kan. and two sisters, Kathy Klocke, Fessenden, and Joan Larson, Fargo. (Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden) Emil Wiedmann ASHLEY Emil E. Wiedmann, 89, Ashley, died March 15, 1993, in the Ashley hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Emil Edwin Wiedmann was born November 16, 1903 at Venturia. He was the long-time director of the Mcintosh County Welfare Office.

He is survived by his wife, Viola; two daughters, Patricia Endres, Traverse City, and Dorothea Puhlman, Ashley; and one brother, Gus, Minot. Ron Schauer Nationally board certified in hearing instrument sciences LEHR Bertha George, 85, Lehr, died March 15, 1993, in Ashley. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Lehr, with burial in Lehr Cemetery. Bertha Goebel was born July 22, 1907, at Lehr.

She and her husband farmed south of Lehr and she taught in the area. She is survived by one daughter, Mavis Schnabel, Lehr; one son, Larry, Wayzetta, and one sister, Martha Baumbach, Carring-ton. (Nickisch Funeral Home, Lehr) Margaret Reiss DICKINSON Margaret Reiss, 84, Dickinson, died March 15, 1993, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MST Wednesday at St.

Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in the church cemetery. Margaret Ehlis was born June 10, 1907, at Dickinson. She and her husband had lived in Dickinson since 1937. She is survived by two sons, Anthony, Dickinson, and Alvin, Sheridan, and two sisters, Mary Sampson, Dickinson, and Rose Pachl, Vancouver, Wash. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson) G.

Schmitz HARVEY Gertrude Schmitz, 87, Harvey, died March 15, 1993, in the Harvey hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Harvey, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.

to 9 p.m. today at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, where a rosary will be said at 8 tonight. Gertrude Strauss was born Feb. 8, 1906, at Harvey, to John F. and Mary Strauss.

She was raised in the Harvey area. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Fargo in 1923 and returned to Harvey. She married Frank Schmitz, May 19, 1927, at Harvey. They farmed near Harvey until 1944 when they moved to a farm near Heimdal. In 1955 they moved to Harvey.

Frank died Sept. 23, 1985. She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic church, its Altar Society, and Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. She was a volunteer with the hospital guild for 20 years before joining the St.

Aloisius Hospital Auxiliary where she was a 30 year member. She had recently been awarded her 3000 hours of service pin. She is survived by three daughters, Sister Mary Ann Schmitz, Washington, 111., Emelie Schmitz, Englewood, and Mrs. Elroy (Linda) Dockter, Bismarck; two sons, Ray, Heimdal, and Harold, Webster, S.D.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Art, Joe and John, all of Harvey, and Ed, Valley City; and one sister, Mary Bartholomay, Sheldon. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Aloys and Fritz.

Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service, Steele. Regina Giedd UNDERWOOD Regina Giedd, 91, Underwood, died March 16, 1993, in the Underwood nursing home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Washburn Baptist Church.

Further arrangements are pending at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn. Leslie Job LINTON Leslie D. Job, 44, Mil-waukie, died in a drowning accident March 13, 1993, at Portland, Ore. Arrangements are pending at Myers-Weigel Funeral Home, Linton. Mike Reindel DICKINSON Mike W.

Reindel, 71, Dickinson, died March 14, 1993, at his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MST Thursday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Lefor, with the Rev. Wilfrid Splonskowski officiating.

Special music will be by June Peters, organist, Amy Horn-bacher and the St. Elizabeth's Church Choir. Burial will be in the church cemetery Pallbearers will be Dan Linster, Arlen Gutenkunst, Larry Roller, John Lenhart, Reid Rolshoven, Steve Heinert, Dave Oberholtzer and Arvid Hecker. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Dukart, Leo Wolf, Max Linster, Carl Heinert, Andrew Fi-cek and Leonard Roller. Military rites will be by Regent American Legion Drill Team.

Visitation will be 8 a.m.-9 p.m. today at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson, where a rosary will be said at 8 tonight. Visitatioin will continue at the church one hour before services. Mike W. Reindel, the son of Joseph and Emma (Wotrang) Reindel, was born July 19, 1921, on the family farm northwest of Regent in Rifle Township.

He attended school in Hettinger County. He entered the U.S. Army in December 1942 at Fort Snelling, serving in northern France, the Ardennes, the Rhine-land and central Europe. He received the Eameto and Good Conduct Medal. On Sept.

4, 1945, he married Regina Herold at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Lefor. Following his discharge in November 1945 he returned to the Lefor area where they worked on various farms. In 1947 they moved to the Mike Herold farm. In the fall of 1949 they moved to his mother's farm which they purchased in 1957.

They have lived there since. Mike semi-retired in 1990. He was a member of St. Joseph's Verein, German-Hungarian Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Dickinson, American Legion Post No. 273 in Regent.

He was a past member of Lincoln District School Board, St. Elizabeth's Council Trustee and Knights of Columbus Council No. 1515. Mike enjoyed reading, woodworking and working on his machinery. He was a perfectionist when it came to building or fixing something.

He is survived by his wife, Regina; eight daughters and seven sons-in-law, Bernnie and Dan Linster, Bowbells, Karen Gutenkunst, Adela and Larry Roller, and Cheryl and John Lenhart, all of Bismarck, Doreen and Reid Rolshoven, Grand Forks, Lorie and Steve Heinert, Taylor, Lynae and Dave Oberholtzer, Great Falls, and Mary and Arvid Hecker, Belfield; four sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and El, all of Cary and Kathy, all of Dickinson, James and Sherie, Ashton, 111., and Michael and Judy, Escondido, 31 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and James Tzavaras, San Diego, Calif.
