Tuesday, April 25, 2006 Page 7A DEATHS Robert Just Nora Buckman Nora L. Buckman, 57, Sioux Falls, S.D., died April 21, 2006. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at First Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls. Beverly Strom Beverly Strom entered into eternal rest April 22, 2006.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, April 25, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Lester Wolf-gram officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. today at North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery, Mandan.

Cornelius Teunissen Cornelius "Casey" Teunissen, Bismarck, died April 21, 2006, in Billings, of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at House of Prayer Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Dave Swonger officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan.

Eva Swanson Eva Swanson, 79, Mandan, died April 24, 2006, at her home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Patrick Schumacher as celebrant.

Burial will take place at Mandan Union Cemetery. Steve Hett Wv MOHALL Steve Hett, passed away April 22, 2006, at a Minot hospital following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m.

Nora was born Aug.

31, 1948, at Dickinson to Lester and Caroline (Weiss) Buck-man. She attended Belfield High School and graduated from North Dakota State University and the University of Illinois. She lived in Peoria, 111., and Fort Collins, before moving to Sioux Falls in 1975. She married David Sper-ber on Oct. 8, 1988, in Sioux Falls.

She served as human resources director for Minnehaha County since 1981. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and served as a volunteer and board member for various community organizations. Her husband, David Sper-ber, preceded Nora in death. Survivors include her parents, Lester and Caroline Buckman, Belfield; brother, Austin (Sarah) Buckman; nephew, Miles Buckman; and two nieces, Hannah Buckman and Lisa Buck-man, all of Aurora, and a foster sister, Stacy Kraft, Sioux Falls. Memorial gifts may be made to Media Ministry Endowment at First Lutheran Church or Bread for the World.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2006 Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan. Further arrangements are pending with Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan.

Robert Just Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Robert was born Feb. 27, 1926, in Judson, to Frederick and Paula (Munder) Just. From 1944 to 1946, he served in the U.S. Navy.

On Oct. 26, 1946, he married Mary Ann Bauer, and they reared a family of six children. He was a devoted father and enjoyed spending time with all the grandchildren and hunting. He spent many hours listening to music and reading the Bible. He worked as a machinist for Amoco Oil in Mandan for 34 in 1987.

He is survived by four sons, Robert D. (Sonya), Little Falls, Ronald (Donna), Mandan, David (Doris), Beulah, and Aaron Fargo; one daughter, Bonnie Fowler, St. Paul, 16 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and one brother, Ray (Rhea), Eureka, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann; one daughter, Lori Yunis; two brothers; and four sisters. Beverly was born in Lead, S.D., in 1927, to Archie and Florence (Thayer) Wilson. Later she moved to Lake of the Woods, Minn. Later on, she moved to Sioux City, Iowa, where she met and married Walter Strom in February 1955.

They later settied in Kintyre, and eventually moved to Glen Ullin, where she was employed as a housekeeper at the local nursing home. Later on, Walt and Bev moved to Steele, and Bev got a job as a housekeeper at the Lone Steer. In 1993, they moved to Bismarck, where Beverly also did housekeeping at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center until her retirement in 1997. Bev will always be remembered for crocheting beautiful afghans and her enjoyment of bingo and playing card games with her family. When Beverly was cooking, pumpkin bars, Thanksgiving stuffing and fleischkuechle were always on the menu.

Bev is survived by her husband, Walter Strom, Bismarck; two daughters, Donna (Gene) Weil, Bismarck, and Kathy (Rodney) Maloney, Lincoln; three sons, Terry Hilbers, Bismarck, Gary Strom, Bismarck, and Rick (Marilyn) Strom, Spokane, one sister, Judy Ramirez, Sioux City; 14 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren; and many other friends of the family. today at Eastgate Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. Casey Teunissen was bom Oct 20, 1937, at Rock Valley, Iowa, the son of William and Helena (VanderBroek) Teunissen. He received his teaching degree in industrial arts and automotive technology from Southern State College, Springfield, S.D. He taught voc tech at Mount Vernon, Mitchell and then Aberdeen from 1962 to 1976. At that time, he was offered and accepted a teaching position at Bismarck State College, where he remained an instructor for 24 years until his retirement in 2000.

Casey was an active member and leader in the local Boy Scouts of America and participated in numerous community projects throughout Bismarck. He enjoyed singing in the House of Prayer church choir where he was an active member. Casey loved spending his time with his family, especially outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and general handyman. He was always eager to lend a helping hand and was always ready with a hug for anyone.

He was a dear and beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who has left many cherished memories for all. Casey is survived by his wife Laura Teunissen, Bismarck; his four children and their spouses, Bernt and Trisha Teunissen, Fargo, Lena and Russ Nichols, Grand Forks, Lila and Jeff Baba, Helena, and Paul Teunissen, Bismarck; four grandchildren, Michael and Austin Teunissen, Bismarck, Cassidy Teunissen, San Diego, and Ronan Ford-Teunissen, Seattle; two brothers, Gilbert and James Teunissen, Grand Rapids, a sister, Elizabeth Manning, Wrightwood, and many friends. Steve Hett was born Dec; 2, 1954, in Bottineau, the son of Orrel and Delores (Met-tler) Hett. He grew up on the family farm near Gardena and attended school there before graduating from Bot-i tineau High School in 1973. Following his he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge in 1976, he returned to Bottineau, joined the National Guard and worked for McGuire Implement.

In 1977, he moved to Coleharbor and went to work on the Coal Creek Power Plant near Underwood. The following year, 1978, he moved to Fargo and attended Hansen Technical College and earned a degree in airplane mechanics. Steve then moved to Mohall and went to work for Marvin Thorn at the Mohall Airport. Steve eventually purchased the business from' Marvin. They partnered in several other business ventures, including an aerial spraying business, fertilizer plant, and eventually Mid-' west Telemarketing Interna-tional.

MTI has since expanded to nine North Dakota communities (Stanley, Kenmare, Mohall, Bottineau, Rugby, Langdon, Grafton, Fessenden, and Beulah) and two Canadian sites employing nearly 600 people throughout North Dakota and Canada. Steve was very civic minded and has served on the board for Farm Credit Services, Mohall Municipal Airport Authority, National, Agricultural Aviation Associ-J ation, Zion Lutheran Churchj Council, Mohall City Council and mayor of Mohall, in addition to being President and CEO of MTI. In November of 2003, he was appointed by Gov. John Hoeven to the North Dakota Economic Development Foundation. Steve was also a volunteer fireman and for a time helped on the Mohall Ambulance.

He was at one time married to Cynthia Billadeau.1 Steve and Cynthia had three daughters, Ashley and Chelsey, both of Minot and Miranda, Mohall. Steve married Kathy Duerre in November Together, they were the proud parents of Ashley, Miranda and Chelsey Hett, and Scotty Duerre, Minot, Stephanie (Ryan) Walker, Larimore, and Rachelle Duerre, Grand Forks. Besides his wife, and children; he is survived by his parents, Orrel and Delores Hett, Bottineau; sisters, Debbie (Paul) Lakeside, and Cindy (Mike) Forsberg, Kramer; 10 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. i He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Wednesday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a Catholic Daughter's rosary will be held at 4 p.m., followed by a parish rosary-vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Eva Gerhardt was born April 2, 1927, near Flasher, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Vogel) Gerhardt. In 1946, she married Frank J. Ehli at St.

Lawrence Catholic Church, Flasher. From this marriage, six children were born. On Sept. 29, 1972, she was joined in marriage to John W. Swanson in Sturgis, S.D.

John and Eva lived in Mandan until John's retirement; they then moved to Pick City, where they lived for 15 years. Following that, they moved to Mandan and resided at Liberty Heights. John died Aug. 6, 2004. Eva was known, for her caring and friendly personality.

She loved to socialize and have fellowship, carrying an amazing vibrancy with her wherever she went. John and Eva had the opportunity to travel; they treasured the time they spent together doing so. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and doing various crafts. Eva possessed a special talent for cooking; she especially liked cooking the old German dishes. Dancing and listening to old-time music was a favorite pastime of hers.

Eva cherished any time that she was able to tend to her plants and flowers. A special time for Eva was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and those holidays when all of her family would be together. Eva will be greatly missed and always remembered by her loving family: four sons and daughters-in-law, Francis (Jeanette) Ehli, Bismarck, Phil (Joy) Ehli, Minot, Chuck (Linda) Ehli, Bismarck, and Jerry (Sheila) Ehli, Aberdeen, S.D.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia (Alvin) Belverstone, Bismarck, and Sheila (Ed) Tibke, New Salem; one stepdaughter, Jeanine Shea, Bismarck; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Kelly (Charmaine) Swanson, Mandan; 17 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three brothers and two-sisters-in-law, Matt (Margaret) Gerhardt, Yakima, Valentine (Violet) Gerhardt, Roanoke, and Stanley (Lorraine) Gerhardt, Mandan; two sisters, Rose Lange-wald, Miles City, and Irene Muth, Portland, Ore.
