2, 1909, in Manhaven, the daughter of John and Susanna (Ellwein) Baszler. She grew up and was educated in the Manhaven area. On Oct. 24, 1925, Emma married Jacob M. Huber.

To this union three children were born, Greta, Don and John. Emma and Jacob made their home in Hazen for the majority of their lives together. Jacob died in 1963. For many years, Emma managed the Arrow Cafe and the Legion Cafe as an accommodation to the city until a permanent cafe was established. She catered many dinners and banquets because there were no such facilities.

Emma worked many years at the Super Valu Store and the Red and White Store, and later worked at the hospital until 1971, when she became matron at the Pioneer Retirement Home. In 1978, Emma was chosen as the Outstanding Woman of the Year by the Hazen Jaycees. She was a member of English Lutheran Church in Hazen, and was also active in the church's Ladies' Aid. Emma enjoyed gardening, playing cards with her friends, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed spending time at the cabin with her family.

Emma was loved and will be deeply missed by them. She is survived by her daughter, Greta Ollenburger, Hazen; two sons and one daughter-inlaw, Donald and Sharon Huber, Hazen, and John Huber, Bismarck; 12 grandchildren, Suzanne Aberle and her husband, Mike, Nancy Ollenburger, B.J. Ollenburger and his wife, Nancy, Tim Huber and his wife, Deb, Tom Betsy Wiedrich, Mark Huber, E.J. Hilts and his wife, Pam, Dorothy Huber, Zach Huber, Michelle Garrett and her husband, Darryl, and Melissa Schwab and her husband, Evan; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; six sisters; two daughters-in-law; and one sonin-law. Memorials are preferred to either the Prairieview Nursing Home, Underwood, or English Lutheran Church, Hazen. Jolene Ankenbauer KENMARE Jolene Ankenbauer, 47, Minot, died May 1, 2000. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Kenmare, with burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare.

Hunter, 38, rural Kief, passed away May 1, 2000, in his home southeast of Kief following a long illness. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Drake, with burial in Kief Cemetery. Gregory Hunter Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Bethke-Nelson Funeral Home, Drake.

Gregory Allen Hunter, son of Atwood and Sharon (Kundert) Cross, was born Jan. 6, 1962, at Minot, where he grew up. He attended Washington Grade School and Jim Hill Middle School and Magic City High School, all of Minot. Following his graduation from high school in 1980 he attended North Dakota State University in Bottineau for two years, where he studied wildlife management. He worked as a farm laborer in the Max area for a short time before moving to the Kief area in 1982, where he worked for several area farmers including Emil Spear, Myron Dieterle and Walter Martin.

On June 14, 1986, he was married to Cindy Pepple at Drake. They made their home on a farm southeast of Kief, where he farmed with his father-in-law until ill health forced him to retire in 1992. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Drake and was a member of the McClusky Sportsmans Club of McClusky and the National Rifleman's Association. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; his father, Atwood Cross, Traver City, one sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Kelly Waswick, Minot; a niece and nephew, Tyler and Samantha Waswick, both of Minot; his grandparents, Everett and Ruth Hunter, Minot, Theresa Hunter, Minot, Bob and Shirley McCann, Harper Beach, his stepfather, Larry and Bobbi May, Minot; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wesley and Alice Pepple, Kief, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wesley and Kathy Pepple, Williston; and his nephews, Aaron and Nathan Pepple, both of Williston.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon; his adoptive father, David Hunter; one brother, Keith; and his grandmother, Eva Kundert. Magdalena Wanner DICKINSON Magdalena Wanner, 85, Dickinson, died May 2, 2000, in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Rudolph; one daughter, Monica Vrana, Dickinson; one son, Joseph, Gladstone; four sisters, Betty Fox, Tacoma, Rose Fleck, Yakima, Isabel Bleth, Bismarck, and Barbara Kuntz, Bismarck; four brothers, Vincent Bleth, Glen Ullin, Jake Messer, Spokane, Paul Messer, Spokane, and Peter Messer, San nine grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren. Leonard Eckroth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, where a prayer service will begin at 7 tonight. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services.

Barbara was born June 9, 1914, near Zeeland, the daughter of Anton and Eva Feist. She was raised near Zeeland and attended country school. She married Frank Eberle in 1931 at Zeeland. They moved to Hague, where they owned and operated a cream station. They also operated the Hague Grocery Store for six years.

Frank died Jan. 7, 1979. Barb then worked in the Hague Cafe until retiring and moving to Bismarck in 1997. Barb was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Alter Society, Hague, and Church of the Ascension in Bismarck.

Barb enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking. She will always be remembered for her excellent pies. She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Wilfred and Helen, Bismarck, Norbert and Jeanette, Green Valley, Leonard, Denver, and Daniel and Marguerite, Phoenix; two daughters and one son-inlaw, Eleanor Eberle, Bismarck, and Carol and Gregory Marsillo, Fredricksburg; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Anton A. and Elizabeth, Bismarck, Frank A. and Elizabeth, Minneapolis, and Aloys and Phil, Fort Myers, one brother-inlaw, Tony Knoll, Strasburg; and a special friend, Beverly Smith, Bismarck.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Danny Joe Eberle; two sisters, Elizabeth Knoll and Anna Marie Streifel; and two brothers, Joe and John Feist. Dolores Bauer TURTLE LAKE Dolores L. Bauer, 70, Turtle Lake, died May 1, 2000, in the St. Paul hospital after heart surgery. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bismarck Baptist Home Chapel. There will be evening visitation with the family in the Capitol Estates Community Room, 1120 N. 12th St. from 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday. Helen Cornelius was born March 14, 1912, in Wyndmere, and was raised in Aberdeen, S.D. She met Raymond E. Cook while attending the St. Paul Bible Institute (Crown College) and they were married in 1935.

In 1938 they left for missionary work in the Republic of Gabon, Africa (under the Christian and Missionary Alliance), where they served for nearly 30 years. During their furloughs from Gabon they lived in St. Paul, Minn. They retired to Fort Myers, in 1984 and moved to Bismarck in 1995. Helen entered the New Horizons Alzheimer's Unit of the Baptist Home in 1996.

Helen is survived by her husband, Raymond E. Cook two daughters and sons-in-law, Rae Joyce and John Marsyla, Woodbury, and Earlyne and Clyde Leimberer, Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Jr. and Rose, Bridgeville, 10 grandchildren; 15 great two sisters; and two brothers.
