Wolf, 13701 10th Ave. SE, reported that an torch set worth $1,000 was stolen sometime over the weekend from the rear of CashWise Foods, 1144 E.

Bismarck Expressway. THEFT FROM BOAT: Randall S. Schleuter, 2412 E. Ave. reported Wednesday that $1,730 worth of fishing equipment was stolen from his boat, which was covered and parked in his driveway.

The theft may have occurred while the boat was parked in Sioux Falls, S.D., Schleuter said. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: Jennifer J. Stahl, Wahpeton, and Bradley D. Kovarik, Wahpeton, reported that more than 600 in clothing and $500 cash was stolen from the trunk of their car while it was parked at Super 8, 1124 E. Capitol early Thursday morning.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: A 1994 dark blue Saturn with gold and silver wheels was stolen sometime early Thursday morning, reported its owner, Kelly Schreiner. The vehicle was parked in front of Schreiner's house at 720 N. 19th St. and the keys may have been left in it. SEXUAL ASSAULT: A 22-yearold woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted in her apartment in southwest Bismarck on Monday.

Police have a suspect in the case and are investigating. DOMESTIC ASSAULT: 26- year-old man treated at Medcenter One after being hit in the head with a lamp by a 33-year-old female companion at 10:20 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Portland Avenue. THEFT: Jess Goodale, 2939 Ohio reported a theft between March 5 and April: 13 of a 38-caliber, antique Bavaria police handgun in a braided leather case, valued at $550. THEFT: Hotel Bismarck reported tool items valued at $1,009 taken between Feb.

Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Alvina was born July 6, 1929, in Emmons County, the daughter of Leo M. and Anna Marie (Bossert) Kuntz. She married Leo J. Wolf on July 26, 1948, at St.

Michael's Catholic Church in Emmons County. They farmed northeast of Linton until 1953, when they moved to Bismarck. Alvina spent most of her life in devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Her family is grateful to have shared in her life and were very blessed to have always had her quiet supporting presence. Alvina enjoyed those special times with her grandchildren.

She also took great pleasure in gardening and the outdoors. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Leo A. Wolf Daniel and Kathy Wolf, and Tom and Janice Wolf, all of Bis- marck; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane and Ross Warner, Bonnie Wolf and special friends, Alleyn and Jason Glasser, and La Vonne and Jim Henes, all of Bismarck; 11 grandchildren, Monte and Grady Nathan and Lindsey Warner, Amanda, Jamie, Kayla and Kyle Wolf, and Nicholas, Andrew and Katie Henes. She is also survived by four brothers, Leo Kuntz, Linton, Eusebius Kuntz, Bismarck, Vincent Kuntz, Crivitz, and Michael Kuntz, West Bend, and six sisters, Kathryn Roehrich, Fargo, Mary Ann Masseth, Peoria, Barbara Roehrich, Red Bluff, Agatha Holzer and Florence Glass, both of Bismarck, and Irene Brown, Crivitz, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Bernard Kuntz.

McAlpin was born July 14, 1918, raised in Des Plaines, and attended Coe College where he met his wife of 57 years, Barbara. During his attendance at Coe College, he was the editor of the school annual and newspaper. Mr. McAlpin was president of Scabbard and Blade, and also president of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Mr.

McAlpin served as a cryptographic officer in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and was stationed in Florida and Alaska, retiring as a major. Following the war, he was in management and ownership positions in the retail clothing industry until becoming the administrator of the Missouri Valley Clinic in Bismarck. He was past president of the Bismarck Chamber of Commerce, and a life member of the Medical Group Management Association. The family moved to Ventura in 1966, where he managed the Buenaventura Medical Clinic until his retirement in 1984.

Mr. McAlpin and his wife traveled extensively and lived in their Lake Tahoe cabin for many summers. Mr. McAlpin was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Al Malaikah Shrine, Los Angeles Temple. Mr.

McAlpin was honored with the "Legion of Honor" award by the Order of DeMolay and was a charter member of the Ventura Exchange Club. Mr. McAlpin is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Margie, vato, and Brian and Renee, Champagne, one brother, Wayne, Virginia; his grandchildren, Craig and his wife, Natalie McAlpin, Sarah and her husband, Nathan Lasiter, Stephen McAlpin, Megan McAlpin and Michelle McAlpin; and his great-grandson, Paul. Mr. McAlpin was preceded in death by his grandson, Paul, in 1981.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. April 19 at New Song Community Church, 3200 11th Bismarck, with the Rev. Larry Jahnke officiating. Rasset, 51, Mandan, died April 14, 1999, at his home after a courageous battle with canTimothy Rasset had an affinity for antique radios and enjoyed collecting and repairing them. cer. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan, with full military rites provided by Mandan Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Posts. Timothy P. Rasset was born on Feb. 7, 1948, at Bowling Green, Ohio, the son of Daniel and Patricia (Lee) Rasset. He moved with his family to Valley City and later to Bismarck, graduating from Bismarck High School in 1966. Tim married Diane Wolfer on June 28, 1969, in Bismarck.

de, graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1970 and had been a systems analyst for Basin Electric from 1980 until his retirement in 1998. A member of the U.S. Army Reserves for over 20 years, Tim was ordered to active duty with the 311th Evac Unit in Operation Desert ShieldStorm in 1991. A resident of Mandan since 1975, he was active as a Cub Scout Master and soccer coach when his sons were younger. An active member and past president of the Central Amateu Radio Club, Tim had an affinity for antique radios and enjoyed collecting and repairing them.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; three sons, Jason and Jon, both of Mandan, and Jeremy, Bismarck; two grandsons, Devon and Chandler Rasset; three sisters, Robin Taketa and Laura Rasset, both of Washington state, and Kathy Kottenbrock, Casselton; four brothers, Terry, Plano, Texas, Daniel Kevin and Kelly, all of Washington state; his mother-in-law, Freda Wolfer, Bismarck; and special friends, L.S. Colebank and Larry Tessmer, both of Bismarck. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Carl Wolfer. The family prefers memorials to Medcenter One Hospice, Bismarck. (Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey) Sister Janet Lantz Sister Janet Lantz, 65, died peacefully on April 10, 1999, at Mother of God Monastery following a long battle with cancer. Services Sister Janet Lantz was an educator for 34 years. were held on April 13, 1999, at Mother of God Monastery, Watertown, S.D. with the Rev. Richard Ortmeier officiating.

Burial was in the Mother of God Monastery Cemetery. She (Marie) was born Aug. 24, 1933, at Richardton, to Jacob and Frances (Wetzstein) Lantz. Sister Janet attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from St.

Mary's High School in Richardton in 1951. She received a bachelor of arts degree in education from Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D. She was an educator for 34 years, teaching in schools in Aberdeen, Chamberlain, Hoven and Pierre, S.D., and Richardton. Sister Janet is survived her brothers, Peter, Richardton, Edward, Las Vegas, and Maynard, Bismarck; her sisters, Dolores, Missoula, and Agnes, Florida; her stepsisters, Sister Virginia Kopp, Phyllis, Alma and Agnes Mae; and by her Sisters of the Mother of God Monastery. Izora Giese NEW TOWN Izora Whitebody Dye Giese, 76, Town, died April 15, 1999, in a New Town nursing home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Parshall. Burial will be in Paul Broste Cemetery, Parshall. A wake service will be held at 4 p.m.

Sunday, at New Town Civic Center. Izora Whitebody Dye Giese, Tawisaaku sapaut (Cedar Woman) also known as Glass Woman, was born on Dec. 19, 1922, at Elbowoods, the daughter of John and Mamie (Wells) Whitebody Sr. She was raised in Lucky Mound. On Feb.

24, 1947, she was married to Lawrence Dye Sr. Izora cooked at Lucky Mound and Elbowoods. Lawrence died in 1957. On April 13, 1958, Izora married Arnold Giese. They continued to live in Lucky Mound until Arnold's death in 1964.

Izora moved to New Town and worked as a custodian for B.I.A. She later worked for the Good Samaritan Nursing Home as a housekeeper and later er as a Green Thumb Assistant and secretary for the Tribal Social Services. She entered the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in November 1998, where she resided until her death. She was a member of the Catholie Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Izora liked to make quilts.

She made patch quilts for all of her grandchildren. Her favorite quilt was the crazy quilt. She loved embroidery, sewing, making shawls, doing other crafts, and crossword puzzles. Her favorite colors were pink, lavender, blue and white. She enjoyed watching pro wrestling and Little House on the Prairie.

Her favorite bird was the owl, of which she collected in knickknacks, pictures and figurines. Her favorite foods were stew, tomatoes and bread. She is survived by three sons, Bert Dye, Fort Worth, Texas, Algin Wayne Dye and Lawrence Dye both of New Town; one daughter, Vivian Gillette, Bismarck; three brothers, John Whitebody Sanish, Wayne Whitebody New Town, and Vernon Whitebody, Fort Worth; three sisters, Mary WhiteJane Church and Tine Whitebody, all of New Town; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one daughter, Clarice Whitebody; one son, Robert Giese; two brothers, Sidney Whitebody and Timothy Whitebody; and two sisters, Violet Fox and Coleen Whitebody.
